BLACK GIRL BELONG: RECLAIMING OUR SPACE IN NATURE

A safe space for Black women to remember, reconnect and reclaim our space in nature

In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they’re still beautiful.

Black women have a
rich history and connection to nature….
but for many of us, that connection has been interrupted.
As we navigate the busyness of our lives, balancing our roles as caretakers, community leaders, executives, mothers, aunties, entrepreneurs, creatives, friends and so much more, it's easy to lose touch with the spaces that nourish us most.
Nature offers us a chance to slow down, gain clarity and receive wisdom that we can take into our everyday lives. Despite a common narrative, that Black women “don’t do nature”, we know the truth; we’ve always belonged here.
Join Black Women In Nature for the launch of Black Girl Belong: Reclaiming Our Space in Nature, for an immersive 8 week series focused on mindfulness, environmental awareness and ancestral connection to nature. This is your invitation to come home to nature - and to yourself.
Who is Black Women In Nature?

Co-Founders Ivory Levert and Angela Mitchell, along with the Black Women In Nature ambassadors curate monthly gatherings + retreats in nature that include yoga, meditation, hiking and reflective dialogue.
